Natalia Arroyave Cárdenas holds a BFA in Performing Arts with a major in Dramatic Theater from El Bosque University. During university she worked as an academic tutor in the subjects of 'Semiology of Performing Arts' and 'History of Culture' at the Performing Arts Program in the Faculty of Creation and Communication. She also completed a 4 week workshop for ‘Acting Direction for cinema’ in Colombia, and she participated on the Civic Engagement and Leadership Academy from George Mason University in the U.S.  Natalia was placed with internationally acclaimed theatre company Hand2Mouth in Portland, Oregon in 2023 as part of her Community Engagement Exchange Fellowship award, funded by the U.S. Department of State. During that time she was trained in the ‘Dialogue and Difference’ Curriculum and supported the development of Hand2Mouth’s International Program and the facilitation of Hand2Mouth’s Theater Summer Camps as a teacher in several Portland area public schools. Natalia worked as a Cultural Specialist and teaching artist during H2M’s International Program in the Dominican Republic, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy Santo Domingo; working with local performing artists and communities in DR. 

In 2023 Natalia co-created and performed in the original two-person theatre production ‘Y recuerda Tichangoshaina…  An encounter of cultures’ with Zimbabwe theatre artist Lonesome Kudzaishe Tapiwa, during her Fellowship at Hand2Mouth. The show recently toured to the Cairo International Festival of Experimental Theatre, produced by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. 

She has performed in more than 15 theater shows throughout her career. In 2021 she starred in ‘El Monstruo de las calles’ a children’s musical theater piece in multiple theaters in Colombia, and she recently starred in the dramatic plays ‘Partir’ (2021) and ‘Casa sin ventanas’ (2020) in Colombia.

As part of her film and television career, she was part of the Colombian web series ‘Bored Panda’, the ll season of the Colombian tv show ‘Enfermeras’ produced by RCN TELEVISION and the short film ‘Las Hermanas’ produced by Estudio Babel. She was also the director and producer of the Podcast series ‘Fabricando Conexiones’ (2023) and ‘Brujula Teatral’ (2022), podcasts awarded by the Colombian Ministry of Culture and IDARTES, which is the District Institute of the Arts in her city Bogotá, the capital of Colombia.

In 2026, Natty played the titular role in Theatre in the Grove’s production of Mojada: A Medea in Los Angeles.
