Hand2Mouth traveled to Kalimantan (Borneo) and Java islands in Indonesia to collaborate with Indonesian artists, arts groups, teachers and teaching artists in four cities. The first three locations were in the Kalimantan mid-sized cities of PalangkaRaya, Sangatta, and Samarinda. At each location, H2M worked with cultural groups and a host public high school to create a three day workshop that culminated in a well attended free public theatre performance, with additional showcases of youth-performed traditional dance, contemporary music and original poetry performances. The workshops were led by H2M artists and local Indonesian multi-talented artists, working at the nexus of civic engagement, music, dance, theatre and poetry.

The workshop all explored the young adults' ideas on their own lives, futures, families and histories and used theatre and storytelling techniques to address contemporary issues of their own choosing. 

The final event was a Train the Trainer produced in partnership with the Jakarta Embassy Public Affairs Section staff. The one day event was held at the @america cultural center in Jakarta, and attended by young creatives, English teachers, and Exchange Alumni. The focus of the workshop was on using creative approaches to building an inclusive and diverse working group or society, via storytelling and story sharing.
